Favorite Father’s Day Baking Recipes
Happy Father’s Day weekend to every dad and fatherly figure reading this! My team and I pulled together a collection of reader-favorite recipes that celebrate the dads and father figures in our lives. I figured the list would be helpful for others, and it even includes some recipes that children can help make.
Here are 25+ Father’s Day breakfast, brunch, and dessert recipes for you to browse. By the way, if you need gift ideas for dad, here’s our collection of 100+ Gifts for Bakers.
Favorite Muffins
Double chocolate muffins and jumbo blueberry muffins have been in my recipe rotation for years, so if you’re looking for a muffin dad will love, both are prime choices. I also have this base muffin recipe where you can use your favorite add-ins and flavors.
And if dad loves banana, this is my favorite banana bread recipe… not muffins, but a total classic!
Homemade Doughnuts
Baked donuts like these crumb cake donuts are extremely easy to prepare and if you don’t have a donut pan, you can use a muffin pan instead. When I have a little more time on my hands, maple bacon doughnuts are always a fun choice!
Can’t Go Wrong with Breakfast Casseroles
If you’re looking for sweet, cream cheese French toast casserole is always the winner. If you’re looking for savory, no one has ever passed up a serving of this everything bagel breakfast casserole. It’s my go-to nearly every single time I’m hosting brunch. (EVERY TIME!)
Or whip up my easy frittata recipe for a healthy egg-based dish that you can customize with Dad’s favorite vegetables, meats, cheeses, and add-ins.
Father’s Day Breakfast Cake Recipes
Easy cinnamon rolls are obviously a family favorite, but why not kick it up a notch for dad with this giant cinnamon roll cake? (I’ve actually seen mouths watering when I set it down on the table. LOL.) If crumb cakes are more dad’s style, cinnamon crumb coffee cake or my blackberry cream cheese crumb cake (pictured below) is a guaranteed delight.
A Breakfast Classic
No breakfast feels more special than a plate of homemade pancakes and I recommend these whole wheat blueberry pancakes if you’re looking for something new to try.
And even if it’s not Dad’s birthday, he’ll love waking up to a stack of extra sprinkly birthday cake pancakes!
Cookies, Obviously
These chewy chocolate chip cookies are the most popular cookie recipe on my website and completely worth a try. If you don’t have time to chill cookie dough, I recommend these Nutella chocolate chip cookies instead.
Or maybe dad doesn’t want to share? Try this one giant monster cookie (pictured below). Or one giant double chocolate cookie if he’s a total chocolate lover.
And maybe ice cream is the way to dad’s heart? Try these chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches.
Perfect Pies
This key lime pie recipe requires just 3 ingredients for the filling. And if dad craves a classic blue-ribbon-worthy slice, this blueberry pie features a thick juicy berry filling (that sets beautifully!) with a golden buttery flaky pie crust.
Or try the bar versions! (Bonus: Key lime pie bars and blueberry pie bars are great options if your plans involve traveling, because they’re easy to make, transport, and serve.)
You (and dad!) will appreciate this strawberry peach galette because it uses summer’s freshest fruits and is considerably easier to make than a full pie. But if there was 1 pie that conquers every other pie… a superhero pie if you will… it has to be this peanut butter pie.
Break Out Your Baking Pans!
Tart-sweet lemon bars and layered cookies and cream brownies are equally indulgent, impressive, and easier than they look!
And, clearly, no one could ever resist these 5 ingredient no bake peanut butter bars and campfire-inspired s’mores cookie bars. 🙂
Best Ever Cupcakes
Cream-filled cupcakes are a nostalgic treat, and always impress. Truly one of the best desserts I’ve ever made and taste testers consistently rave about them. A MUST MAKE!
Show-Stopping Layer Cakes
If you’ve been waiting for an occasion to try your hand at a layer cake, what better reason than to celebrate Dad! Chocolate peanut butter cake and chocolate raspberry cake are deeply decadent, unapologetically rich, and sure to take the top spot in Dad’s favorite desserts. (And perfectly manageable for cake decorators of all experience levels, too.)
And One Cake Just for Dad
Well, hopefully dad would share! This small chocolate cake is a 1 layer 6-inch cake. It’s undeniably quick and easy to prepare, simple to decorate, and there’s hardly any leftover.
