As a home cook who prides herself on showing love through food, there is no better feeling than ending a meal with a delicious and impressive dessert. As a home cook, I can also attest to the hard work that goes into making those meals, which is why finding shortcut solutions is key to helping me get from start to finish with a lot less stress.

Royal Flan with Caramel Sauce is one of those solutions. If I have a box of the dessert mix in my pantry, I know that the meal will end on a delicious note, helping me look like the kitchen pro I aspire to be.

What’s So Great About Royal Flan with Caramel Sauce?

Royal brand flan checks all the boxes for a low-effort, high-reward dessert: It’s simple, fast, impressive, and delicious. It’s great for a dinner party or a Friday night in with the family and can be made ahead with very little prep work.

The mix is available in two sizes — a family-size box that serves about eight people, and a smaller box that serves four. Inside the box, you’ll find everything you need to make either individual ramekins of flan or one large portion, which is ideal for serving family-style.

When you’re ready to make the flan, grab the flan packet, milk, a saucepan, and a whisk. The mixture comes together quickly with minimal cleanup. Unmolding flan can be stressful, but Royal flan slides out of the pan easily every time. Once set, the flan is creamy and smooth with hints of vanilla beneath the caramel sauce coating.

The leftovers, should you have any, will stay fresh in the fridge for a few days. In my humble opinion, having leftovers is ideal, because there’s nothing more fun than snacking on this fancy dessert on a random Thursday afternoon.

What’s the Best Way to Serve Royal Flan with Caramel Sauce?

If I’m planning to prepare the flan for a special occasion, I’ll take a little extra time and energy to prepare a few garnishes. The sweet creaminess of the flan goes well with sliced berries or shaved chocolate, and you can never go wrong with a dollop of whipped cream on the side.
