I have always taken care of my personal health, like getting in my weekly walks and workouts, and prioritizing my mental wellbeing. After the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency confirmed the prevalence and toxicity of harmful “forever chemicals,” a group of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances known as PFAS commonly found in nonstick cookware, I decided that the very least I could do was swap out my old cookware for better items that brought me more peace.

I started by investing in mostly stainless steel pots and pans. These are great for all sorts of foods, including soups, sauces, and some meats (major shout out to Heritage Steel, which is where the bulk of my stainless steel cookware comes from). That said, stainless steel isn’t always the easiest to cook with, as food can sometimes stick to the surface and I don’t have always have time for a proper deglazing.

But in my quest to swap out all my potentially toxic nonstick cookware, I was worried I wouldn’t be able to enjoy that easy, breezy cooking experience (think: eggs that slide right out, fish that’s perfectly crispy but won’t grip onto the pan, and sautéed veggies that retain their full flavor and shape). To my delight, though, I discovered Kilne’s Everything Pan about two months ago and the proof is in the dishes.

True to its name, I’ve used it for everything from over-easy eggs and salmon, to sautéed mushrooms and grilled cheese. It’s a gorgeous 12-inch ceramic pan that proves I can have my non-toxic cookware and enjoy simple, mess-free cooking. Not only is it super easy to cook with this pan, but the cleanup is also basically nonexistent. Nothing sticks to the surface — and I truly mean nothing. I’ll just use a touch of dish soap and give it a once-over with a cleaning brush to degrease, and then rinse and dry.

Unlike the traditional nonstick cookware that poses potential concern, this pan is free of PFAS, nickel, and other heavy metal components. That doesn’t compromise on the nonstick ceramic surface, though — the “double-release technology” means you don’t need to use as much oil or fats when cooking. In fact, I’ve actually sautéed and “fried” foods sans oil — it’s that nonstick! The ceramic surface also lends itself to extreme hardness that makes the pan less likely to scratch or corrode — although you should still never use metal tools with the pan.

Given all the perks above, I wouldn’t care if the pan was absolutely hideous. But thankfully, it’s not — it’s gorgeous. It comes in three hues — a soft green called Sage, a goes-with-everything black called Peppercorn, and Meringue, the cream color that I have. Each pan features a nine-inch-long stainless steel handle and a matching lid with a stainless steel knob, as well.

Overall, the Kilne’s Everything Pan feels super sturdy, cooks like a dream, provides great peace of mind, and requires basically zero cleanup. What more can you ask for?
