Chicken and Chive Wontons are Perfect for Your Next Date Night

The ingredients for the simple meal — wonton wrappers, ground chicken, garlic paste, ginger paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, and both chives and scallions (yes, there’s a difference) — are probably already in your fridge or pantry. The filling is a quick mix of all the ingredients, and then the fun begins.

Setting up your workspace with wrappers and a small bowl of water, fill each small square with a teaspoon of filling (he warns against overfilling, as they can burst). Dip your finger in the water and trace along the sides of the wonton wrapper before folding into shape. (If you need a little help folding these tricky triangles, here are a few tips). Drop them into a pot of boiling water for about four minutes, remove, and strain. The result is your easy-to-make wonton — also known as the perfect way to wrap some quality time into making a meal.

As far as a dipping sauce goes, you can whisk up a mixture of soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, sesame seeds, chopped scallions, and a little bit of chili crisp to add a little fire to your love.
